The EU Plastic Regulation No. 10/2011

The Plastics Regulation is the most important regulation concerning food packaging in Europe. This regulation introduces important requirements such as specific migrations or NIAS, defines simulants and specifies test conditions. Many aspects of this regulation have also become important for other materials such as paper and cardboard, printing inks or metals in contact with food.

In this webinar, we will take a closer look at the regulation and examine how overall migration, specific migration and NIAS are defined, how the tests are carried out and how conformity must ultimately be assessed. Finally, the declaration of conformity in accordance with Annex IV will be explained, along with the significance of the various pieces of information contained in this key document in the supply chain.
